Music lovers in Warminster have something new to look forward to this summer, as The Old Bell Hotel expands its popular live music programme with the launch of Sunday Sessions — a new series of laid-back performances running from 13th July through to early September.
Running every Sunday from 3pm to 5pm, the Sunday Sessions promise a relaxing mix of live music in the heart of town, with a stellar line-up of local and regional talent. The shows will take place outdoors (weather permitting), bringing a mellow festival vibe to The Old Bell’s courtyard.
Sunday Sessions Line-Up:
July 13th Mike and the Free Spirits
July 20th Westward
July 27th Timeout (Jay and Kay)
August 3rd Dr Zebo’s Wheezy Club
August 10th Junkyard Dogs
August 17th Devil’s Doorbell
August 24th Poorbox Bros
August 31st Mark Green’s Blues Band
September 7th Midnight Train
“We’re thrilled to be adding Sunday Sessions to our music calendar,” said hotel owner James Sullivan-Tailyour. “It’s all about easygoing, weekend entertainment — good tunes, good drinks, good food and a great way to unwind at the end of the week.”
This new initiative builds on the success of The Old Bell’s well-established Thursday Acoustic Nights, which continue to run every week from 7pm to 9pm in the hotel’s main bar. Featuring acoustic acts from Warminster and the surrounding area, the Thursday sessions are known for their warm atmosphere and friendly, conversational volume levels.
“The aim is to give a great vibe to enjoy an evening with friends or loved ones,” James said. “You can enjoy live music and still chat over a drink – and we wrap up early so everyone can be tucked up by 10pm!”
Food is also on offer with the Old Bell serving up a mix of pub classics and Thai favourites.
