Warminster Lions Club is once again stepping up to support men’s health in the local community by hosting a second Free Prostate Testing event, in partnership with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust.
Following the success of the inaugural event in April 2024 – when more than 200 men took the opportunity to have a simple blood test – this year’s clinic will take place on Friday 18th October, at the Thomas Arnold Hall, Church Street, by kind permission of Warminster School.
Up to 300 free PSA tests will be available for men aged 40 to 80, offering a vital chance to detect prostate disease in its early stages.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with over 52,000 men diagnosed annually. Early diagnosis and treatment is the key factor in this silent and often unnoticed disease.
There is no charge for these tests. Costs are covered by Warminster Lions Club and contributions from local businesses.
Bookings for this event in October are essential, and can be made from 18th August by visiting the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust web page – https://gfct.mypsatests.org.uk/ and selecting the Warminster location from which an appointment time can be booked between 10am and 3pm.
