Warminster’s boxing talent was on full display on Saturday 14th March as athletes from War Boxing Academy put in impressive performances while proudly representing the town.
“First up was Lexi, who took part in a Skills contest and delivered a composed and confident performance,” said Chris Darker from the club. “Demonstrating the progress she has made in the gym, Lexi showed discipline, focus and a willingness to listen and learn, all qualities that are central to the club’s ethos.
“Skills contests are designed to support development, and Lexi’s performance highlighted just how valuable that pathway can be for young boxers building their confidence and ability.
Later on the card Connor faced a tough challenge against a hometown opponent on his own show. In what proved to be an exciting contest, both boxers came out fast in the opening round, landing sharp combinations and setting a high pace.
“After making key adjustments in the corner, Connor returned for the second round with renewed focus and control, ultimately securing an impressive stoppage victory.
“Beyond the results, the evening was another example of the positive impact War Boxing Academy continues to have on young people in the local community. Both Lexi and Connor represented Warminster with pride, showing not only skill and determination but also respect, discipline and sportsmanship which are the qualities that make them excellent role models for others.
“The club has become an important part of the town, providing structure, guidance and opportunity for young people to develop both physically and mentally. Through boxing, members are learning valuable life skills that extend far beyond the ring.
“The team expressed their gratitude to the loyal supporters who travelled to cheer on the boxers.
“With performances like these War Boxing Academy continues to go from strength to strength both in the ring and within the Warminster community.”
