A local woman’s annual home baking event has raised over £1,200 for the Wessex MS Therapy Centre based in Warminster.
Katherine Marsh opened her home in Frome to welcome friends, family and supporters to the event. Katherine is a member of the centre where she receives ongoing support and therapy.
Funds raised from this year’s event will go directly towards supporting the centre’s vital services, which provide therapies, health information and emotional support to people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. The centre also supports families and carers.
“We are incredibly grateful to Katherine for her ongoing dedication and generosity,” said fundraising and events coordinator Amanda Strong. “Raising over £1,200 in a single event is an amazing achievement and her support makes a real and tangible difference to the people we care for.”
The centre relies heavily on community fundraising to maintain its services, helping bridge gaps in NHS provision and reduce financial barriers for members who require ongoing specialist therapies.
