A special performance celebrating all things Jane Austen is due to be held at Warminster Library on Thursday 5th February.
The Jane Austen Fan Club’s show will celebrate Jane Austen books, weaving together the world of Austen’s classic novels with an exploration of gender, relationships and money today.
Organisers say, “With books, bonnets and a life-size cardboard cutout of Colin Firth, we’re celebrating everything we love about the original feminist icon.
“Created by Victoria Briggs and Lucy Mellors, you can expect high drama, breathless romance and extremely proficient dancing.
“All performances are relaxed, baby-friendly and dementia friendly. If you would like to familiarise yourself with the show before the performance begins, we can offer a pre-show visit shortly before the performance. Please contact the venue for more details.
“Access resources (e.g. a visual story) will be available in advance.”
The show is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The performance will take place on Thursday 5th February at 2pm.
This follows a date error in the last issue of the Journal, with the performance now confirmed for Thursday 5th February at 2pm.
Tickets, which cost £8.67, can be purchased at www.ticketsource.com/whats-on/warminster/warminster-library/the-jane-austen-fan-club/
