A fundraising effort has raised thousands to fund new technology and support learning at Princecroft Primary School.
The group from Friends of Princecroft School (FoPS) has raised £11,000 for the school in less than two years through a wide range of community events, including school fetes, colourful rainbow runs, discos and quizzes.
The funding has enabled the school to invest in a full class set of Galaxy tablets and has also been used to increase the number of iPads available to pupils.
“The new devices are already helping to enhance learning across the curriculum, ensuring more children can access digital tools to support their education,” said Headteacher Gemma Pierson.
“From interactive lessons to creative projects, the technology is opening up new opportunities for pupils throughout the school.
“The generosity of our school community has been incredible. To reach £11,000 in such a short time is a testament to the hard work of FoPS and the support of families. The impact on our children’s learning will be significant.”
