The Old Bell Hotel in Warminster is striking a chord with music lovers with their regular series of Acoustic Nights every Thursday – promising laid-back live music, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Running from 7pm to 9pm in the hotel’s main bar, the sessions feature local talent from Warminster and the surrounding area.
“The aim is to give a great vibe to enjoy an evening with friends or loved ones,” said hotel owner James Sullivan-Tailyour. “The volume is set so you can still enjoy a conversation, and we wrap up early so you can be tucked up by 10pm!”
The hotel’s kitchen opens from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, serving up a menu of pub classics and Thai favourites – perfect for a pre-show bite or to accompany a relaxed evening with drinks and live music.
As summer approaches, the hotel will also host Sunday Sessions, running from 3pm to 5pm during July, August, and early September. These outdoor events aim to bring easygoing weekend entertainment to the heart of town, giving residents even more reasons to pop in for a pint and a tune.

The Old Bell is also putting out a call for new performers. “We’re always looking for new blood,” said James. “We welcome soloists or duos with a chilled and relaxed playlist – anything from 50s to 90s covers, acoustic rock, country, R&B, bluegrass, blues, singer-songwriters, Americana and more.”
Groups are welcome too. “When we ran The Swan Hotel in Bradford on Avon, we hosted regular sessions that brought together Irish, folk, sea shanty, jazz and country musicians,” James added. “The players loved having a venue, and our customers loved the atmosphere. We’d love to bring that same energy to The Old Bell.”
