A new ‘book stop’ that offers a free, accessible way for residents to share and enjoy books has opened in Codford.
Last month, a bus shelter in the village was transformed into a book stop and community book exchange.
The official opening last month was marked with a warm gathering, during which the chairman of Codford Parish Council, Councillor Tom Thornton, cut the ribbon and welcomed residents to explore the new space.
A spokesperson from the parish council said, “This initiative was made possible not only through volunteer effort and parish council support, but also thanks to a generous financial contribution from the Codford Fireworks Working Group, demonstrating the power of community collaboration in bringing meaningful projects to life.”
