New equipment has been installed at a popular Warminster play area.
A metal cableway (zip wire) and mini-climbing trail have been added to Fore Street Play Area following investment from Warminster Town Council.
“The new equipment really does look fantastic,” said Mayor Andrew Cooper. “We have so many quality play areas around the town – lots of places for children to enjoy. It really enhances the community feel of Warminster.”
A spokesperson from the council added, “The changes have been made to keep the play equipment up-to-date, safe and fun for the community as the town council continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining and investing in its assets and attracting people to the town.
“As the zip wire is brand new, the cable is slightly higher than previously – over time it will become easier for all to use.”
The town council manages nine play areas across Warminster: The Lake Pleasure Grounds, Portway, Queensway, The Dene, Princess Gardens, The Beeches, Pound Street, Fore Street and The Heathlands.
