Warminster Town Football Club has appointed Aaron Seviour as its new first team manager, with Matt Morris joining as assistant manager.
Aaron and Matt arrive at the club following an impressive spell at Shepton Mallet, where they guided the side to a seventh-place finish in the Western League Premier Division during the 2023–24 season, achieving a club record points-per-game ratio. That campaign also saw them secure their first silverware at Step 5 level, lifting the Les Phillips Cup with victory over Barnstaple Town.
They take over from Rob Nash and Rob McFerran whose six-year tenure has come to an end.
“Aaron brings fresh energy, strong leadership, and a clear vision for the future, and we are excited about the direction he will take the club,” said the club.
“We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to our outgoing management team, Rob Nash and Rob McFerran, who have led the First Team with outstanding commitment, passion, and loyalty over the past six years.
“Their tenure has now concluded in truly historic fashion, having steered the club to victory in the Wiltshire FA Senior Cup Final; securing the trophy for the first time in 117 years (although the win has been overturned by Wiltshire FA). Alongside this remarkable achievement, they have built a resilient, united squad and played a significant role in shaping the club both on and off the pitch.
“Their contribution and legacy at Warminster Town Football Club will not be forgotten.”
