Warminster Bowling Club is inviting local women to try their hand at the sport at a special Ladies Day event at the weekend.
The club, based in Ash Walk near the Minster Church, will host the event on Saturday 23rd May from 1pm to 6pm. It aims to encourage more women to get involved in what organisers describe as a fun, sociable and rewarding activity.
Club secretary Tony Reed said the club offers a welcoming environment for players of all abilities.
“We’re proud to be Wiltshire’s oldest bowling club and undoubtedly one of the friendliest in the county,” he said. “We have a great mix of experienced players and those who are new to the sport, and we’re always keen to welcome more people to give it a try.”
“Never tried Bowling? Now’s your chance to have some fun,” added Tony. “We’ll provide the bowls and coaches to give you a taste of this sport. All we ask is that you wear flat shoes.”
Free refreshments, including tea and cakes, will also be available.
Warminster Bowling Club currently competes in a number of Wiltshire leagues and continues to attract both seasoned bowlers and newcomers.
