Neighbourhood police officers in Warminster have been tackling ongoing issues with uninsured bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters in recent weeks.
An e-bike linked to anti-social behaviour in Warminster was seized on 28th May by officers from Response Team 4 after locating the rider and bike on Boreham Road.
The bike was seized for having no insurance and the rider was also reported at the scene for a number of road-related offences.
PC Kent said, “We have been aware of this particular bike for several weeks and the nature of the riding style which has been causing issues around Warminster. To remove this e-bike is a positive step.
“This is another good result, however officers remain aware of further illegal e-bikes being used in Warminster and will be actively targeting them in the near future.”
PC Rideout from the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team said, “We are thankful to members of the public who continue to report information about the use of illegal e-bikes in Warminster, as this helps us with any operations.”
If you have information regarding the use of illegal e-bikes or scooters in your community, report it online, via 101, or call 999 in an emergency.
