A local man has completed a 70-mile ultramarathon along Hadrian’s Wall to raise funds for a Warminster men’s support group.
Laurence Bartley recently completed The Wall ultramarathon, an endurance challenge which follows the historic Hadrian’s Wall and features over 1,000 metres of elevation gain, to raise money for We Are Men (WAM).
So far, he has raised over £1,000 for the community group which provides help, support, and a safe community for local men facing challenges with mental health, loneliness, and wellbeing.
“WAM does important work supporting men who may be struggling in silence,” said Laurence. “I wanted to do something that would not only challenge me personally but also raise awareness and funds for a group that makes a real difference in people’s lives.”
WAM meet every Monday from 7pm until 9pm at Warminster Town Football Club. Meetings are free to attend and open to all men.
