The Warminster Athenaeum is expanding its number and variety of shows this year to keep local people entertained.
The venue’s calendar is packed with 70 per cent more events this year compared to 2025, including live comedy, musicals, music concerts, National Theatre Live, films and community events.
“For families and children already this year, the Athenaeum has hosted successful shows such as Circus Extravaganza and Unicorn Live, tailored especially for children,” said Trustee Phil Keeble. “More family-friendly performances are planned for later in the year including of course the ever-popular pantomime presented by Oddity Theatre, ensuring continued appeal to younger audiences.”
Sell-out concerts have already featured All Floyd, with upcoming acts including California Dreaming in May and Word Up 80’s Full Live Band in June.
“New this year we now screen performances from National Theatre Live. Musical theatre and comedy continue at the core of our programme. Our Warminster Comedy Club now attracts sell out audiences,” Phil added.
Upcoming productions include The Biggest Night of Musicals 2, Shrek The Musical, King of Fools, Warminster School’s production of Six the Musical and Little Shop of Horrors.
Monthly screenings continue with Warminster and District Film Society, supported by upgraded digital projection and surround sound, alongside exhibitions in the venue’s ‘Art at the Ath’ gallery.
Phil said, “The Athenaeum remains committed to hosting a range of community events. These include the Open Door Chat Cafes or Cancer and Prostate Cancer Support, grief Support and Friendship as well as performances and exhibitions by and for local schools.”
