Bubbles and ice cream fill park at family festival

Thousands of people flocked to the Lake Pleasure Grounds for family-friendly fun at the annual Ice Cream and Bubbles Festival. 

The event on Saturday 1st August brought families together for a variety of activities, including a bubble show, face painting, pottery painting, and a bubble disco finale. A selection of ice cream was also on offer throughout the afternoon.

“One of the real highlights of the Ice Cream and Bubbles Festival was seeing so many smiling faces enjoying everything the event had to offer,” said Mayor Jack Jones. “Whether it was children chasing bubbles, families spending time together or people simply relaxing with an ice cream, there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

“Events like this are incredibly important because they bring our community together, encourage people to spend time in our town and support our fantastic local businesses. They help create lasting memories for families while showcasing Warminster as a welcoming and vibrant place to live and visit.”

The event was organised by Warminster Town Council as one of many events in the town’s park.

The Mayor’s Tombola raised £500, with all proceeds going to Wiltshire Area Youth Services (WAYS).

“As mayor, it was wonderful to see so many people from our local community coming together to enjoy the day,” said Cllr Jones. “The success of the festival is a real testament to everyone involved in organising it, and I’d like to thank all of the volunteers, traders, performers and town council staff who helped make it such a memorable occasion.”
