Pupils from Sambourne School have been getting into the Wimbledon spirit with free tennis sessions at the Lake Pleasure Grounds, thanks to support from Warminster Town Council.
With the tournament in full swing, two groups from the school visited the park on Tuesday 1st July and Thursday 3rd July to make use of the town’s tennis courts after exploring the nearby Smallbrook Meadows Nature Reserve.
The visits are part of a wider initiative by Warminster Town Council to encourage young people to take pride in their local area and make use of public facilities.
The park currently has four tennis courts and two pickleball courts available to book as well as a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for public play.
