The highlight from the round of fixtures played on 9th May was the 126 runs scored by Jude Cierpicki for Warminster Cricket Club 2nd XI.
The Warminster 1st XI took on the Hinton Charterhouse 1st XI at Sambourne Road for their first home match of the season. The opponents were put into bat and made steady progress against the Warminster bowlers, reaching 293 runs for the loss of eight wickets from their 50 overs.
Whilst the wickets were shared around, Liam Carpenter returned the best bowling figures, taking three wickets for 54 runs. Unfortunately, the majority of the Warminster batsmen were unable to convert promising starts into match defining innings, with Warminster finally all out for 177 runs and losing by 116 runs.
The Warminster 2nd XI recorded a comfortable victory against a Royal Wootton Bassett 3rd XI. Batting first, Warminster made 256 runs for the loss of five wickets, with Jude Cierpicki scoring an outstanding 126 runs, his first century.
In reply, Royal Wootton Bassett struggled against the Warminster bowling attack and were all out for 93 runs. Cieran Woodhouse was the pick of the bowlers taking four wickets for 12 runs, whilst Max Ellis and Jude Cierpicki took three wickets apiece.

Unfortunately, the weekend of 16th May saw all three Warminster teams involved in matches that were abandoned due to heavy rainstorms. The 1st XI had travelled to play the Swindon 1st XI and bowled well to dismiss their opponents for 234 runs. All the Warminster bowlers performed, with highlights being Rory Cullinan taking three wickets for 55 runs and Paul Brathwaite taking three wickets for 44 runs.
The Warminster 2nd XI also started their match against the Swindon Super Strikers 2nd XI, but it was curtailed after 26 overs with the opponents having scored 144 runs for the loss of five wickets. Jude Cierpicki returned the best bowling figures, taking four wickets for 42 runs.
The 3rd XI batted first in their Division 7 match against the Box Cricket Club 2nd XI. The team made positive progress, but the rain intervened after 20 overs, with Warminster at 64 runs for the loss of one wicket.
