A fundraising walk for a local dementia charity is returning to Warminster this May.
Beyond Dementia’s ‘A Walk to Remember’ will take place on Saturday 9th May, with residents invited to take part.
Walkers and runners will have a choice of two routes: the 7.5-mile Battlesbury Circuit, a more challenging trek that takes participants through Smallbrook Meadows, up Middle Hill and Battlesbury Hill before returning to the finish, or the Meadow Mile, a gentle one-mile stroll around Smallbrook Meadows, ideal for families or anyone seeking a shorter route.
Money raised will help the charity support people living with dementia in Wiltshire, including those who attend the Old Silk Works day club in Warminster.
Community Fundraising Manager Rachel Fear said, “After a three-year break, we’re delighted to welcome back our Memory Walk to Warminster.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to support people living with dementia while connecting with our local community, and we hope you will join us for what promises to be a truly fantastic event.”
Walkers and runners can check in at 12pm on 9th May at Warminster Park Community Centre to collect event materials and enjoy the pre-walk atmosphere ahead of the start in the heart of the town.
