A two-hour exit collection at Waitrose in Warminster has resulted in a 260kg food donation to the Warminster and District Foodbank, helping to replenish much-needed supplies.
The foodbank, which supports around 150 people a month, said the donated items came at a crucial time, as stock levels had been running low.
Jean Colgrave, foodbank manager, said, “They were all very useful items of food and very welcome as our stores in the foodbank were very low. We wish to extend our thanks to Waitrose. Thanks also to the General Manager Mr Martin, Natasha the community champion and all the wonderful staff in the Warminster branch.”
The foodbank can be contacted on 01985 214463, or in an emergency 07855627945
