Inspire Festival – Annual music festival brings crowds to town park

Over 1,000 people turned out to the Lake Pleasure Grounds for a free afternoon of live music and entertainment as Inspire festival returned.

The festival, which has been running since 2013, returned on Sunday 5th July, featuring acts including AmJam, Dusk Drums, Incolour and Sad Dad Club. Local band Primate State also made its debut at the festival after being inspired to form the band following a visit to Inspire in 2023.

“We’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of positive feedback both on the day and in the days since,” said creative director Thomas Hiscocks. “Many have praised the variety in the line-up and the sheer quality of the music on show, with suggestions that it may have been the best yet!

“It generated such a buzz that it seems all who attended have been buzzing ever since. My one worry, of course, is how we can possibly top it next year, but I feel incredibly lucky to be able to have my vision brought to life on stage just as I saw it (or even better than) in my head – thanks to the talented artists and tireless team of Inspire volunteers.

“My personal highlight was seeing my 14-year-old guitar student lead his band, Primate State, for their first gig outside of school, and completely blow myself and the rest of the audience away, especially knowing how hard he had worked for the three years leading up to it – since he first attended Inspire and set his sights on the stage. It’s a touching tale which absolutely exemplifies Inspire’s original mission statement from 2013. My deepest thanks to all who attended and were part of this historic moment!”

Inspire will return to Warminster on Sunday 4th July next year for another afternoon of free music.
