A jumble sale at St George’s Church raised funds towards the refurbishment of the church hall last month.
The church hall was filled with bargains, with prices starting at just 50p. Attendees also had the chance to sit down for coffee and cake.
“The main purpose of the jumble sale was to reach out to the local community,” said Deacon Terry Aspell. “It was wonderful to see so many people coming in and finding us, as well as finding so many bargains.”
“Many who came commented on how great it was and were asking when the next one will be. We will definitely be having another jumble sale in the spring.”
The church’s next event will be a Christmas Bazaar, which will be held on Saturday 22nd November from 11am.
