Line dancing group celebrates one year in Warminster

A local country line dancing group has celebrated its first anniversary of running classes in Warminster.

Hannah Rush, known as Lady H, runs Wild Ones Country Line Dancing, which has held weekly sessions at Warminster Civic Centre for the past 12 months, bringing together people of all ages and abilities.

“Reaching our first anniversary feels like a huge milestone, particularly after navigating our first summer and the challenges that come with running community classes,” said Hannah. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has walked through the doors, supported us and helped Wild Ones grow during its first year.

“Over the past year, we’ve seen people arrive at their first class feeling nervous and unsure, then become regular members, make new friendships and grow in confidence. For many, it has become about much more than learning the dances; it’s a social night out, a chance to exercise and somewhere they feel part of a community.”

The classes also support Urban Dance Kru, a local community project providing free street dance opportunities for children and young people.

“We wanted to create something where adults could enjoy themselves while also helping us give something back to younger people locally,” said Hannah.

Line dancing lessons take place at the Civic Centre on Thursdays from 6pm to 6.45pm. Sessions cost £6.
