Members of Bowmen of Warminster archery club recently competed at the Welsh 3D Archery Championships.
The championships consisted of two days of shooting across two courses near Wrexham.
Club members Tony Burt and Tim Jerrett both took part in the competition.
“Each course consisted of 40 targets set in woodland,” said Tony. “Although very taxing, it was a brilliant experience. Although no medals were won, a great time was had.”
The club has also been helping to introduce more people to the sport, following a successful ‘have a go’ archery session held at the Lake Pleasure Grounds by Warminster Town Council.
The event gave children and their families the chance to try archery, with members of the club supporting the activity.
The club is celebrating 20 years since its formation this year. Members are planning to mark the anniversary at the club’s own championships in September.
