A Warminster primary school has celebrated the results of its recent religious inspection, in which it received an overall judgement of Good.
St George’s Catholic Primary School recently underwent a Section 48 inspection, receiving an overall judgement of Good, with its Catholic Life and Mission being judged as Outstanding.
Section 48 inspections focus on a school’s religious character, including its ethos, religious education and collective worship. The report spoke highly of pupils, staff and leadership, praising the sense of identity and shared values throughout the school. Inspectors noted that “pupils are living ambassadors for the school mission.”
The report went on to highlight that pupils “demonstrate a deep sense of belonging and are developing a sense of moral responsibility to put their faith into action.”
Leadership and governance were also recognised as key strengths, with inspectors commenting that “through strong leadership and committed governance, Christ is kept firmly at the heart of the school community, even amidst change, challenge and new curriculum demands.”
Inclusion and support for all learners were also commended. The report stated that “pupils with additional learning needs are well supported, ensuring they can access new learning alongside their peers.”
Headteacher Mrs Cannella said, “I would like to express my unwavering thanks to our incredible staff. Their commitment, compassion and professionalism ensure that our school continues to go from strength to strength, and it is truly uplifting to see their efforts recognised in such a meaningful way.”
