A new pitchside sign has been installed at Warminster Rugby Club to promote a local prostate cancer support group and its ‘Try to Talk’ campaign.
The local support group, run by Open Door Warminster, offers a safe, confidential space to share experiences, ask questions and find strength together.
“Warminster Rugby Club is tackling more than just the game,” said a spokesperson for the group. “It kindly agreed to promote the local prostate cancer support group with a bright advert by the side of the main pitch.”
“Prostate cancer affects one in eight men, but too many suffer in silence. Whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, or supporting a loved one, no one needs to be alone. Come along to talk, listen and support each other—because real strength is speaking up.”
Meetings are held twice monthly at the Athenaeum Centre on the second and fourth Monday from 7pm to 8.30pm.
