There’s a new face, and some new flavours, at the Pavilion Cafe in Warminster’s Lake Pleasure Grounds off Weymouth Street.
Ryan Widdows has taken charge at the site and introduced a range of new items on the menu.
With the warmer weather just around the corner, the café will stock a bigger variety of Marshfield Farm ice cream with vegan ice cream, slushies and even scoops for dogs now available.
Hours for 2025 have also been confirmed at the Pavilion Cafe; it is now open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
Ryan said, “I think we’re going to have a very good year ahead with some new items on the menu. I’m excited to get to know all the regulars, meet some new faces and see some familiar faces.
“I grew up in this area, so I’m currently living not far from Warminster. We’re so lucky to this here – a great location in the heart of the town.”
New snacks on sale include OHSO scrummy cookies and gingerbread, as well as gluten free flapjacks. There are also new drinks for children including Simply Fruity apple, orange, blackcurrant, and strawberry flavours.
Cllr Stacie Allensby, Mayor of Warminster, officially re-opened the Pavilion Cafe on 1st March after it was shut over winter.
She said, “I’m delighted to reopen the Pavilion Café. We are so proud of this amazing space, and it is brilliant to see the changes made.
“2025 is set to be another momentous year for the Lake Pleasure Grounds and the café is now officially open – ready to serve the many people who enjoy visiting our wonderful park.”
The cafe operates a takeaway style service, with picnic benches around the park as well as benches on the café veranda. The venue will also have new sports equipment to hire ready for the tennis season. Duck food is also available to purchase.
