New chair encourages retired residents to join Warminster u3a

The newly appointed chair of Warminster u3a is encouraging local people to join the group.

Pauline Reed was voted into the role of chair at the beginning of August, having been a member of the group for retired and semi-retired residents for 10 years. She is now encouraging more local people to join.

“Feel empowered to change your expectations of retirement through being a member of Warminster u3a like I did 10 years ago,” said Pauline.

“As well as the monthly meetings, there is also a good variety of smaller interest groups to join and various social outings and events throughout the year, run by the members, for the members.

“We are always looking for new ideas for more interest groups and never say no to someone who would like to start a group. You will get a lot of help from the committee who are always on hand to look after you.”

Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month from 2pm at Warminster Civic Centre.
