A successful quiz night has raised £350 for the Warminster & District RUH Fundraising Group.
Held at the Prestbury Sports Bar on 10th March, the well-attended event saw Warminster’s brightest brains come together to raise money for a good cause. Local businesses also donated prizes to the bar as part of the event.
With quizmaster Chalky at the helm, chair of the Warminster & District RUH Fundraising Group, Annie Hickmott, organised the evening. All money raised will go towards improving equipment for cancer services at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
The winning team was ‘The Jags’, captained by Lee Shuttlwood. They won a prize of champagne, wine, and Prosecco, donated by the Prestbury Sports Bar.
Nick Pitcher of the Prestbury Sports Bar said, “The evening’s success was celebrated by both the host and the winning team, who were particularly pleased to contribute to such a vital charity.”
It is hoped that a similar quiz will be held in the autumn.
