Warminster Slimming World members have raised an impressive £1,100 for local good causes at their annual charity event.
Held on 10th January at the Warminster Conservative Club, the evening brought together 75 members for a night of food, fun, and friendship while raising funds for a range of local charities close to their hearts.
“Many members said they were delighted to be involved in an event that makes a real difference within the Warminster area,” said Warminster Slimming World consultant Gary Timperley. “This year’s chosen charities include Cats in Distress, the MS Centre, lunches at Warminster Baptist Church, Evie’s Gift and the Warminster Guide Dogs Branch, all of which provide vital support to people and animals in the local community.
“I’m incredibly proud of the members, not only those who attended the event but also those who supported the fundraiser by buying raffle tickets in advance, helping to boost the total raised.
“Our members are always so generous and enthusiastic. It’s wonderful to see how much of a difference they can make together.
“Beyond their fundraising efforts, the Warminster Slimming World groups continue to help local people on their journey to healthier living. Members support each other to make lasting lifestyle changes – eating well, staying active, and maintaining motivation through shared encouragement and understanding.
“As highlighted in a recent advert by The Avenue, with weight-loss injections becoming increasingly expensive, Slimming World continues to offer a supportive, affordable approach that helps people not only lose weight but maintain their weight loss for the long term.”
