A new weekly Swap Shop is coming to Warminster, offering residents a chance to exchange items and connect with others.
The first Swap Shop will take place on Wednesday 7th January from 3pm to 5pm at The Wellbeing Hub. It will then run weekly every Wednesday at the same time throughout the year.
Residents are being encouraged to bring items in good condition including clothes, household items toys and books.
“If you’ve got something that’s in good condition but you no longer want, then bring it along to our new Swap Shop,” said Lydia, co-founder of The Wellbeing Hub.
“Pass on items you no longer need and pick up something useful in return, all in a relaxed and welcoming space.
“It’s a chance to swap useful items, enjoy a warm drink and a chat, meet new people and save money and reduce waste.
“Bring something good, take something good, and help keep our community moving forward.
“We will also have table tennis and other games available for anyone who wants to play while they browse.
“We really hope people will use this opportunity not only to reuse items, but also to connect with others in the community, whether that’s over a cup of tea or a game of table tennis at The Hub.”
The Swap Shop is a collaborative event between Warminster School and The Wellbeing Hub, and volunteers from the school will be on hand to help everything run smoothly.
Teas and coffees will be available, and donations are welcome. Each person is limited to bringing five items and big furniture cannot be accepted.
