Local antiques expert and TV star Paul Martin will be returning to Warminster this month for a free valuation day at the Athenaeum.
Paul will be at the venue on Friday 10th July from 10am until 3pm to value and give advice on antiques and collectables. There will also be an opportunity to put items up for auction.
“It’s one of my favourite venues in Wiltshire, steeped in theatrical history which brings the best out of you,” said Paul. “Every item valued has a starring role under the spotlight. It’s our job to find those hidden gems, all treasures from the past, and bring their history alive!
“It’s a brilliant day out, fun and informative, and hopefully we can guide you through the auction process and send you home with the promise of a small fortune… I have happy memories of previous visits when we uncovered an oil painting of a full-length female portrait by William Etty RA, a classical nude study (with an auction guideline of £1,200), pottery by William Moorcroft and plenty of jewellery to make the day sparkle, with some very happy owners.
“See you all soon for the next performance!”
There is no need to book; visitors can just turn up during the session. For more information, visit www.theath.co.uk/events
