Two local pupils are celebrating top honours after impressing judges in a county-wide public health competition.
Arlo and Alessandra from St George’s Catholic School were crowned Overall Winners in their respective categories in the recent Public Health Wiltshire contest, which invited children to come up with creative ways to help stop the spread of germs. Arlo took the top spot for Key Stage 1, while Alessandra led the field in Key Stage 2.
Their winning entries earned them certificates, exclusive bookmarks and two goody bags each – packed with fun rewards. Several runners-up from the school also received recognition for their work.
“This success highlights the enthusiasm, creativity, and knowledge nurtured in our school community,” said a spokesperson for the school. “The competition provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to engage in important public health topics in a fun, educational way – while helping to promote a healthier future for all.
“We welcome children from all year groups throughout the year, and while we are a Catholic school, we proudly accept children from any or no faith background. Our inclusive and supportive environment is designed to help every child thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
