Students at Warminster School have enjoyed a heartwarming visit from the local branch of Guide Dogs.
Year 11 and Upper Sixth students were able to de-stress as they cuddled their four-legged visitors and learned more about the charity.
The delegation of dogs, and their volunteer handlers, came to offer support ahead of the school’s exam period.
One teacher said, “This was such a lovely event to be amongst furry friends who appreciated the fuss and multiple cuddles.

“The dog handlers were so good at communicating how the dogs are trained and cared for, and the amazing work the dogs go on to do.”
Dogs’ calming presence can reduce stress and anxiety, boost happiness, and even build confidence.
Lisa Cook, community outreach co-ordinator at Warminster School, added, “A huge thank you to the Guide Dogs South West team for bringing so much joy and positivity to the school community.
“Here’s to many more pawsome moments ahead—and to raising even more funds for Guide Dogs South West.”
