A firefighter who has served Warminster for more than a quarter of a century has stepped down from his role.
Steve Weston was joined by former and serving Warminster firefighters to celebrate his career at his last drill night on Monday 29th June.
“I have absolutely loved my career as a firefighter,” said Steve. “It’s a job like no other, but now the time just feels right to step away.”
Steve will continue to work for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service as a workshop manager.
Watch manager John Burns said, “Steve will be missed on station, but the station is a better place for having him as part of the team for so many years. He has always helped others, taken part in many charity events and is someone you can depend on, whatever the incident or challenges faced.”
