New equipment is set to be installed at Warminster’s Splash Pad, giving children more ways to control and play with water.
A flying frisbee and water cannon will be installed at the facility in the Lake Pleasure Grounds. On Monday 28th September, town council members approved the Parks and Estate Committee’s request for £9,189 in the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding.
The splash pad was designed to accommodate two additional water features meaning groundworks are not needed.Users will be able to spin the flying frisbee’s disc to create swirling, changing water patterns. The water cannon adds another interactive element, allowing children to rotate it and direct the flow during play.
Chair of the Parks and Estate Committee, Cllr Stacie Allensby, said, “We are delighted to add two new features to the splash pad. Warminster Town Council will continue investing in facilities that draw people to our brilliant town and the wonderful Lake Pleasure Grounds.”
The splash pad is currently closed and will reopen in 2027 after attracting thousands of visitors during this year’s summer season.
