Pupils at a local primary school were visited by the Bishop of Clifton who blessed the school’s new chapel area.
Pupils at St George’s Catholic Primary School led readings and prayers in a special service in which the Right Reverend Bosco MacDonald blessed the school’s chapel.
“Following the blessing, two Year 6 pupils guided the bishop on a tour of the school,” said religious education lead Tegan Brown. “As he visited classrooms, he offered blessings and spoke with children, who eagerly asked thoughtful questions and engaged warmly with him.
“The day concluded on a high note as pupils formed a guard of honour, singing Shine Jesus Shine while the bishop made his way through the school. The farewell was filled with high-fives, smiles, and three heartfelt cheers, reflecting the lasting impression of the visit.
“During a celebration and prayer gathering later that week, many pupils described the bishop’s visit as their standout moment. Staff echoed this sentiment, highlighting the sense of inspiration and pride felt across the school community.”
