Children in Crockerton recently turned out in full force for the village’s annual Easter egg hunt.
The event took place in the gardens of The Bath Arms pub, with members of The Learning Meadow nursery, who had donated the eggs for the hunt, also joining in the fun. A donation pot raised a further £40 towards future village events.
A spokesperson from the Crockerton village social committee, who went by the name ‘the Easter Chick’, said, “It was a perfect sunny day to get the community together again and enjoy each other’s eggcitement, and joy at finding a chocolate egg or two… The turnout was fantastic, and it was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.”
The Crockerton village committee, run by a group of volunteers, meets throughout the year to plan special events. The next event they are planning and very much looking forward to is the annual summer street party in June.
