There is still time for stallholders to sign up for Spring in the Park 2025, which returns on Sunday 4th May, from 10.30am to 4pm.
The event will be packed full of local stallholders, a dog show – in association with Garston Vets & Charismatic Pets – donkey rides, a petting farm and a tug-of-war competition. The day will also feature tasty food vendors, a bar, maypole dancing by Bell’s Angels Morris Dancing and an obstacle course.
The highlight of the free family-friendly event is set to be the tug-of-war competition taking place at 3pm in the grass area by the bandstand.
Warminster Town Council is encouraging residents to submit teams of four in advance. As an added incentive, there is a £100 prize for the winning team and £40 for the runners-up.
Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Stacie Allensby, said, “Spring in the Park has established itself as one of the highlights of the year – a popular family-friendly event that celebrates spring, our wonderful Lake Pleasure Grounds as well as retaining a traditional village fete atmosphere.
“With thousands of visitors expected, it promises to be a great day. We can’t wait to see residents come out and support another big event for our town as well as taking part in the highly anticipated tug-of-war competition.”
There is still time for stallholders to be involved and anyone interested should email events@warminster-tc.gov.uk or phone 01985 214847 for more information.
