More than 3,000 residents flocked to the Lake Pleasure Grounds this month to enjoy the Ice Cream and Bubbles Festival, a fun-filled day for the whole family.
Held on Saturday 2nd August and organised by Warminster Town Council, the event was bigger than ever, offering a wide variety of ice creams in a relaxed summer atmosphere.
Bubbles filled the air as popular duo Squidge and Pop proved a hit, providing entertainment throughout the day, as well as a bubble disco finale.
Pizza, a hog roast and prosecco were also on sale and enjoyed alongside additional activities including sand art, pottery painting and hair braiding.
The Mayor’s Treasure Map Game was a roaring success with the Storr family winning the top prize a family ticket to Longleat.
Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Andrew Cooper, said, “Ice Cream and Bubbles saw yet another fantastic Warminster event for the whole family in the Lake Pleasure Grounds. The day was filled with sunshine, happiness, fun and laughter showing, once again, Warminster and its people at their very best!”
The Ice Cream and Bubbles Festival has quickly established itself in the Warminster Town Council events programme and is expected to return next year.
