Community group Sustainable Warminster hosted its fifth and final Energy Advice Tea Party on Saturday 29th March.
Attendees had the chance to have one-on-one discussions with energy advisors who offered free guidance on a range of topics including interpreting energy bills, switching suppliers and eligibility for grants related to energy-efficient upgrades.
The Tea Party was designed to assist community members in lowering their energy expenses, enhancing home energy efficiency, and discovering sustainable energy-saving strategies.

It featured personalised consultations with experts, children’s crafting activities with Cathryn from Art Nurtures Wellness and a giveaway of energy-saving prizes. Cakes to fuel discussions were generously homemade by Sustainable Warminster members with others provided by Morrisons, Waitrose and the Co-op.
Sustainable Warminster co-chairs Amy and Rebecca said, “Sustainable Warminster extends its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, including Warminster School for organising a children’s workbook and quiz.
“Special thanks go to Warm & Well Wiltshire and the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) for their support, as well as the Warminster Town Council and the future proof Local Energy Advice Project for their generous grant funding.”
Various organisations set up stalls at the Tea Party, including the Warminster Area Health and Wellbeing Forum, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, National Energy Action and Wessex Water Community Drop-In. Trained members of Sustainable Warminster also offered their expertise when called upon.
