Weekly outdoor yoga sessions will come to the Lake Pleasure Grounds in May.
The free Park Yoga sessions will take place every Sunday morning from 9.30am to 10.30am, starting on Sunday 3rd May and running until September.
Deputy Mayor Jack Jones said, “Providing positive activities is essential for the health and wellbeing of our community. These sessions give residents the chance to learn new skills, stay active and spend time outdoors while connecting with others in the town. It’s fantastic to see such a varied programme continuing to develop in Warminster.”
Cathi Farrer-Mitchell, Director of Park Yoga, said, “As a charity we want Park Yoga to be as accessible as possible. There’s no need to book and it’s free to attend.”
“Last year 31% of our participants had never done yoga before, so you won’t be alone if you’re new to yoga. You don’t need any specific equipment, just a yoga mat if you have one, but if not a blanket or towel works perfectly. Come along and give it a go, you won’t regret it!”
Yoga classes will still go ahead in light rain. If the weather is particularly wet, participants will be informed of any cancellation at least an hour in advance via the Park Yoga Warminster Facebook page and the Park Yoga website.
