More than £3,000 has been raised for the town’s Wessex MS Therapy Centre following two recent fundraising events, the Hellebores Open Garden and a Ladies’ Lunch.
The community came together to support the charity, which provides vital therapies for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.
In March, Juliet Davis’ renowned Hellebores Open Garden in Kapunda welcomed around 200 visitors who enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine exploring her award-winning collection of Hellebores.
The charity marquee, run by the Wessex MS Therapy Centre, proved to be a popular retreat for guests, serving a tempting selection of homemade cakes and refreshments. A total of £1,900 was raised on the day.
Later in the month, a Ladies’ Lunch provided another fundraising boost. Guests gathered for an afternoon of good food, lively conversation, and charitable giving, raising just under £1,200 for the Wessex MS Therapy Centre.
Amanda Strong, fundraising and events coordinator at the Wessex MS Therapy Centre, said, “We are incredibly grateful for the support from both events. The generosity of those who attended will directly impact the lives of people who rely on our therapies and support.”
The Wessex MS Therapy Centre, based at The Avenue in Warminster, provides crucial support, therapies, and services to individuals living with MS and other neurological conditions. The centre is dedicated to enhancing well-being and quality of life, offering physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and emotional support for individuals and their families.
