A group of Kingdown School students have begun a series of community projects across Warminster, collaborating with the town council to improve local parks and green areas.
The young people are working on various initiatives at the Lake Pleasure Grounds, Grovelands, the Warminster Community Orchard and other public spaces in the town.
Students will team up with Warminster Town Council’s Grounds Team each week to learn new skills and give back to the local community as part of the collaboration.
A Kingdown School spokesperson said, “We are so pleased to get our young people out into the community and working on essential local projects.
“They have been so enthusiastic about the work they’ve been doing and keen to get stuck in and give back to Warminster. We are looking forward to working more closely with the town parks service and collaborating on more projects in future.”
A Warminster Town Council spokesperson added, “We’re delighted to be working alongside Kingdown School on this new initiative that benefits the whole community.
“The Warminster Town Council Grounds Team is very proud to look after Warminster and takes pride in maintaining spaces for the whole town to enjoy. We look forward to sharing this passion, as well as teaching and learning from the local students.”
