A long-established Warminster dog training business is going from strength to strength and has a packed programme of classes and events planned for the year ahead.
Charismatic Pets, based at 6 Woodcock Industrial Estate, is a dedicated training and behaviour centre offering more than 20 group sessions each week, alongside one-to-one training, workshops and specialist behaviour support.
“We have a series of workshops and community events coming up designed to help dogs and their owners build stronger bonds – and have plenty of fun in the process,” said owner Charis Vincent.
“I started Charismatic Pets in 2009 just running puppy classes out of a local village hall. We opened our centre in 2013 running multiple classes with an onsite pet shop. When Covid hit, I gained my clinical status as an animal behaviourist and we converted the centre into a dedicated full-time training and behaviour centre with an expanded shop offering carefully selected products.
“We haven’t looked back and now run 20+ group classes a week from puppy through to advanced and fun activities, multiple 1:1 classes, workshops, complex behaviour consultations and rehab sessions for dogs that need extra support.
“We have also increased the lines that we sell in our shop, with our revamped website soon to be launched too!
“Our passion is helping every dog and owner to live happy and fulfilled lives, having so much fun to bring out the best of every owner and dog relationship.
“Some of the highlights of our year are the fun dog shows which demo some of our activities, and one-off fun events, workshops and fun trials we host at our centre in Warminster.”
A number of events are planned for the coming months, including a Canine Crystal Maze on 31st January, featuring puzzle challenges, a crystal dome and treat-catching activities. The event is open to dogs of all ages, abilities and temperaments, with staff on hand to assist.
Further workshops planned include Paws In Balance which will focus on canine wellbeing, with talks from industry professionals, demonstrations and samples, a Puppy Social Workshop and a Paws in Balance Wellness afternoon, all focussing on how to ensure the best wellbeing for your dog.
“Our passion is helping every dog and owner to live a happy and fulfilled life,” added Charis. “We welcome new customers to pop in and visit us at our centre as the shop is open six days a week and the team are always around to answer training and behaviour questions too.”
