A charity tea dance hosted by the Mayor of Warminster has raised over £800 for the trust which manages The Athenaeum.
More than 80 people enjoyed an afternoon of dancing, music and refreshments at the event, held at Warminster Civic Centre on Sunday 20th September.
The dance was led by dancer Mike Freke, with music provided by David Huxford, and also included a raffle.
Mayor Jack Jones said, “The Mayor’s Tea Dance was a fantastic success, and it was wonderful to see the event completely sold out. There was such a warm atmosphere throughout the afternoon, with people coming together to dance, socialise and enjoy themselves.
“I am incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, supported the event and helped make it possible. To raise an amazing £828 for The Athenaeum while bringing our community together makes the day even more special and I’m delighted with what we achieved and very much looking forward to the next one in February.”
