Pupils and staff at a local primary school showed their support for military families by wearing bright yellow to school recently.
Members of the St George’s Primary School community wore yellow accessories to mark Dandelion Day as part of the Month of the Military Child.
The day is organised by Little Troopers, a charity that supports children with parents serving in the British Armed Forces.
The dandelion, the official flower of military children, symbolises resilience and strength – qualities often shown by young people in military families who adapt to frequent moves and change.
“It was wonderful to see so many children taking part and showing their support in such a positive and visible way,” said a spokesperson from the school.
“The event was a bright and meaningful reminder of the strength and resilience of St George’s own ‘Little Troopers.’”
