A foundation member of the Warminster Prostate Cancer Support Chat Cafe has completed her second 15,000ft skydive, raising more than £500 for the group.
Rachel Evans set up the group two years ago alongside her husband, Kerry, to support people affected by prostate cancer following Kerry’s own diagnosis.
Rachel previously raised £400 with a skydive to help launch the group. Two years later, on Saturday 22nd August, she took on the challenge again to raise money for the group.
“The skydive went very well, I very much enjoyed it,” said Rachel, whose highlight of the day was freefalling at 125 miles per hour.
“I would like to thank everyone who has donated to my skydive to support this very important cause to keep the group going.
“It means the group can carry on supporting the local men who have prostate cancer. It will provide families a place to be able to talk.”
The Warminster Prostate Cancer Support Chat Cafe meets second and fourth Mondays of the month – 7pm-8.30pm at the Athenaeum.
