Over 140 pumpkins lit up the Lake Pleasure Grounds recently for the popular Pumpkins in the Park event.
The line of pumpkins stretched from the Pavilion Café towards the Boathouse on the evening of Wednesday 29th October, with designs ranging from traditional to innovative.

The event, hosted by Warminster Town Council, provided fun for all the family and included an LED light show by Amore Entertainment and a light-up display on the lake by the Warminster Model Boat Club.
Warminster mayor, councillor Andrew Cooper, and deputy mayor, councillor Jack Jones, judged the entries, picking three winners – Xanthe, aged five, Harper, aged eight, and the Focsa family.

Cllr Cooper said, “I am delighted that people have so strongly supported this event. Last year we had just over 100 pumpkins, this year 140; next year we will aim for 200. We were blessed by the weather this year. Even though it was a rainy day during a rainy week, not a drop fell while the event was on.”
“Warminster Town Council has a growing reputation for putting on events for the whole community to enjoy. We are so pleased with the success of Pumpkins in the Park and we look forward to the super Christmas Market and Christmas Lights Switch-On on Saturday 29th November.”
