A quiz night in Warminster has raised funds for the Royal British Legion (RBL)’s Poppy Appeal.
The quiz, which was hosted by the RBL at Prestbury Sports Bar on Monday 9th November, raised over £270 for the charity.
The evening was officially opened by Warminster’s Mayor, Andrew Cooper, who encouraged attendees to “dig deep” for the cause. A grand prize of a flight over the scenic Longleat and Warminster area for two people was also awarded.
“I was extremely pleased with the evening,” said Kevin Severn, the local Poppy Appeal organiser.
“My sincere thanks go to the mayor for his support and to Prestbury Sports Bar for providing the perfect venue for this successful event.”
The quiz winners were ‘The Jags’ team, who secured a bottle of champagne.
