Local people have helped raise vital funds for the Wessex MS Therapy Centre at a recent fundraising quiz night.
The event, held at Prestbury Sports Bar, raised £200 for the charity. The funds will help it continue to provide a range of therapies, support and social activities for people living with MS and other neurological conditions across the local area.
Two representatives from the centre joined local volunteers for the evening, which included a raffle with prizes supplied by the centre. Organisers Nick and Pete from the sports bar provided the prizes for the quiz.
Sarah Folker gave a short talk during the evening detailing the support services available for people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
Fundraising coordinator at the Wessex MS Therapy Centre, Amanda Strong, said, “It is always great to have the support of local businesses like the Prestbury Sports Bar. We had a really enjoyable evening and it was lovely to be able to get together with our volunteers, have a bit of fun and raise £200 for the centre at the same time. We are incredibly grateful to Nick and Pete for their continued support of our charity.”
Prestbury Sports Bar holds its popular quiz night every Monday at 8pm and regularly supports local charities.
